RefTec International Inc.: Refrigerant Recovery Unit

The second generation Microvac II refrigerant recovery unit is faster, more durable, and easier to use, says the company. Design enhancements include a more powerful 3¼4-hp compressor. This oilless compressor is equipped with a unique discharge ball valve that is impervious to damage from heavy flow during direct liquid recovery, says the company. Airflow through the cabinet has increased due to a larger fan on the compressor's double-shafted motor. New heavy-gauge wire screens permit greater airflow over the condensing coil to remove more heat from recovered vapor and to minimize head pressure in the recovery tank, the company says.
