SILVER: Copeland Discus® with CoreSense™ Protection

Copeland Discus® with CoreSense™ Protection is an advancement to Emerson’s semi-hermetic compressor line that uses the compressor as a sensor to monitor operating conditions within the compressor. Building on its compressor electronics strategy, Emerson now integrates CoreSense technology across the entire Copeland Discus compressor line up to 6 cylinder capacity. By using the Copeland Discus compressor as a sensor, CoreSense Protection monitors and interprets system and electrical information within the compressor, shutting it down before damage occurs. Copeland Discus with CoreSense Protection alerts technicians to the most serious faults first so they can accurately and rapidly correct problems and prevent compressor failures that could suddenly generate product spoilage.

BRONZE: Commerical Series Refrigerators

Hoshizaki America Inc. introduced a new Reach-in Line, called the Commercial Series, an energy efficient top mount self-contained refrigeration system. Available in one, two, and three sections with full and half height stainless steel doors, these units are designed using state of the art technology to keep food products in the safe serving temperature zone with a minimum amount of expended energy. The Energy Star® qualified units are preinstalled with 4” casters for easy delivery and accessibility. The electrical connection is made by plugging the unit into an outlet and flipping a switch. The solid state controller helps to pinpoint the cause of service issues and failures with error messages and the solid state controller’s easy-to-use Touch Pad allows the end user to adjust several parameters, including the temperature set-point. Commercial Series Reach-in’s have a two year warranty.
