The Startek leak detector is a microprocessor-controlled unit. It is compatible with all halogenated refrigerants. A leak is indicated by both a variable-frequency audible alarm and visual indication. Two sensitivity levels can be selected: Standard sensitivity is 0.5 ounces per year, and high sensitivity is 0.1 ounce per year. Features include low-battery power alarm, automatic shutoff after a certain period of nonuse, and a belt holster. The unit contains one spare sensor, which is stored in the battery compartment. The detector is powered by two AA alkaline batteries.
