The TempTracker Mod+™ Hybrid controller can control multiple boilers. According to the manufacturer, there can be a mix of stage-fire and modulation, condensing and non-condensing with the new optional BACnet® BMS link. For two or more boilers, the hybrid system design utilizes condensing boilers as lead boiler(s) to carry the load during mild weather or warm daytime temperatures when condensing is achievable. Noncondensing boilers then can be incorporated to meet the balance of the load. On colder days, when system temperatures are high, they become the lead boilers. The hybrid system concept affords more opportunities to stay within budget guidelines, while maintaining the total benefits of the condensing design, says the company. For new and replacement installations as well as additions and retrofits, the TempTracker Mod+™ Hybrid control is capable of integrating all the manufacturer’s and most other major boiler platforms.
