PureAire Monitoring Systems Inc.: Ammonia Monitor

The AirCheck Lite Model TX-2460FN is a gas monitor that detects ammonia leaks in various refrigeration equipment and applications, including refrigerated warehouses, coolers, and blast freezers. The unit detects ammonia concentrations as low as 5 ppm. It is unaffected by cold temperatures, disinfecting agents, fruit/produce offgassing, propane, or other substances, the manufacturer says. It is available in four different NH3 detection ranges: 0 to100 ppm, 0 to 200 ppm, 0 to 500 ppm, and 0 to 1,000 ppm. The monitor's sensor operates at -40 degrees to 140 degrees F without drift due to temperature or humidity. The ammonia monitor operates on two-wire 24-VDC power and can be connected to any 4-20 mA controller, PLC, or SCADA system.
