Poole & Kent Co. (Baltimore, MD), in a joint venture with Montgomery Mechanical Services (Capitol Heights, MD), has been awarded a $48 million contract for the complete mechanical installation at the new Washington Convention Center, now under con-struction in Washington, DC. Located on a 15-acre site, the convention center will cover 2.1 million sq ft. Completion is scheduled for mid-2003.

S.I. Goldman Co., Inc. (Longwood, FL), a Comfort Systems USA contractor, has been honored with a 1999 Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC)/Charles J. Eidel Safety Award. The company was previously recognized with the award in 97 and 98.
