Pepco Expands Services in the Southeast

Pepco Energy Services Inc., has expanded its energy and energy-related service capabilities into Southern Virginia and North Carolina by acquiring Seaboard Mechanical Services, Inc., headquartered in Chesapeake, VA, with offices in Lynchburg VA and Raleigh, NC.

Seaboard adds hvac services to Pepco’s existing energy sales, electrical testing, and maintenance and building control system services. Seaboard repairs, replaces, and services a variety of heating ventilating, and air conditioning systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional customers.

With approximately 45 employees, Seaboard joins five other companies under the umbrella of Pepco Building Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pepco Energy Services.

“This acquisition is another step toward offering our customers a full range of energy and energy infrastructure services while also expanding our customer base in North Carolina,” said Ed Mayberry, president and ceo of Pepco Energy Services. “We now provide natural gas, fuel management, electrical testing and maintenance, hvac design, construction, operations, maintenance, and financing services in the region.”
