Three ventilation fans have been added to the WhisperLite® line, operating quietly at both 0.1 and 0.25 inches water gauge. The ceiling-mounted models are designed for 4- or 6-inch ducts. With a new central mounting system, contractors have more flexibility during an installation, since the fans are easier to position in challenging ceiling configurations. The new models - FV-08VQL5, FV-11VQL5, FV-15VQL5 - feature a contemporary flush mount grille that incorporates a 32-W compact fluorescent lamp light fixture and a 4-W night light. According to the manufacturer, the vent fans are Energy Star®-rated, Home Ventilating Institute-certified, and ideal for complying with the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers Standard 62.2, which is the ventilation platform adopted by Leadership for Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for Homes, Energy Star Indoor Air Quality Program, and California Title 24.
