According to the manufacturer, it has developed an improved, easy-to-use organo-phosphonate (OP) test for monitoring OP levels in boiler and cooling water systems. Using a specially developed tablet containing a pH buffer and screened indicator, this test eliminates the problems of pH adjustment and endpoint determination associated with the traditional test, making it more consistent and more accurate, the company says. Dechlorinating and defluorinating agents have been incorporated so that the test can be used on systems also being treated with chlorine and fluoride compounds, the manufacturer states.
