ATLANTA, GA — ITT Industries Fluid Handling is the umbrella group for such familiar industry names as Bell & Gossett and McDonnell & Miller, as well as Hoffman Specialty and Domestic Pump. All those sectors were represented at the most recent AHR Expo here.

“This was our opportunity to familiarize our customers with our product lines and to discuss specific questions,” said Mark Handzel, national sales manager for Morton Grove, IL-based ITT Fluid Handling.

New items from Bell & Gossett included:

  • Hydrotrol, a flow-control valve that allows for summer and winter operation of an indirect water heater;
  • The Number 400 automatic air vent, designed so that accumulated air allows the float to drop, causing the air to be vented through the valve; and
  • A brochure geared for end-users, explaining the benefits of the company’s Technovar variable-speed pump controller.
  • The McDonnell & Miller sector noted a series of low-water-cutoff pump controllers featuring mercury-free, snap-action switches. The 42S has two switches, one to operate a boiler free pump and the second to interrupt a burner circuit in a low-water condition.

    Also new was a line of general-purpose liquid level controls, the Series LPC-2000W, said to meet a wide array of level sensing. Domestic Pump also featured pump controllers.
