Oct. 4, 2006: Survey Says Lennox Ranks Highest in Subcontractor Satisfaction

DALLAS - Lennox International Inc. (LII) ranks highest among HVAC manufacturers in satisfying subcontractors, according to the recently published J.D. Power and Associates/McGraw-Hill Construction 2006 HVAC and Water Heater/Boiler Subcontractor Satisfaction Study.

The inaugural study focuses in part on how subcontractors evaluate and rate manufacturers of HVAC systems. Overall subcontractor satisfaction with HVAC manufacturers is based on performance in seven factors: warranty and repair service, sales and marketing support, ordering process, product, credit/billing, delivery, and price.

According to the study, LII ranks highest in subcontractor satisfaction among HVAC manufacturers, receiving the highest ratings in four of the seven factors. The study includes responses from 559 subcontractors evaluating HVAC manufacturers.

"We are certainly pleased to have an independent research firm of this stature publish such a highly positive evaluation of our continuing efforts to provide our customers with the best products and services," said Bob McDonough, president and COO, LII Worldwide Heating and Cooling. "In particular, our unique one-step distribution channel for our Lennox brand has been successful for over a century in allowing us to directly communicate and partner with many of our contractor customers, allowing for faster responses to their changing needs."
