WAUKESHA, Wis. - Generac® Power Systems, a leading manufacturer of backup power systems, and Honeywell have reached an agreement under which Generac will be the exclusive licensee of Honeywell branded portable and standby generators through 2015.

Generac said the Honeywell brand is well known and provides Generac the opportunity to expand distribution channels by raising category awareness and increasing residential consumer access to automatic standby generators. Generac’s product offering, support, and market presence will build on the existing base of Honeywell generators in the portable generator segment.

Ranging from 800 Watts to 150 kW, Generac expects to launch the line of Honeywell portable and standby generators during 2011.
