Oct. 21, 2004: MCAA 2005 Convention To Address Hiring, Succession Issues

ROCKVILLE, Md. - The Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) announced that its 2005 convention, MCAA 2005, will offer mechanical contractors answers on how to attract and keep quality employees for their companies and how to pass their firms on to the next generation.

FMI President and Managing Director Hank Harris's session on "Hiring and Keeping the Best Employees" will explore why and how people are attracted to the mechanical contracting industry and what keeps them motivated to do their best work. His session on "Succession Planning - Passing the Torch without Getting Burned" will focus on the pertinent issues involved, how to develop a plan, and the explicit steps necessary to achieve a successful transition.

These are two of the topics to be included in the education sessions at MCAA 2005, which will be held Feb. 27 to March 3 at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Ariz.
