Mr. Green was a National Air Filtration Association (NAFA) Certified Air Filter Specialist with Red Bud Air Filter, the family-owned business, and was serving on the board of directors with NAFA. The company issued this statement: "Guy enjoyed his work and will be missed by his Red Bud family."

He is survived by his children, Guy Charles Green Jr., 11, and Marjorie Kathryn Green, 8; mother, Ann Green Diggdon; father and stepmother, Jerry and Norma Green; sister and brother-in-law, Shelly and Johnny Foster; nephew, John Foster; stepsister, Lisa Boyett and family; and former wife, Angie Green.
