CARROLLTON, Texas - Daikin Industries Ltd., a major Japanese manufacturer of air conditioning systems for residential, commercial, and industrial use worldwide, has announced the establishment of Daikin AC (Americas) Inc. A wholly owned subsidiary of Daikin Holdings (USA) Inc., Daikin AC will be based in Carrollton, Texas, a suburb of Dallas.

According to the company, Daikin AC will bring to the North American market the Daikin Industries air conditioning product line. The company currently provides sales and sales support services to contractors and distributors within various strategic markets in the United States. Business development, training, and marketing programs will also be coordinated from the Texas office.

In the coming weeks, Daikin AC will formally open its national sales office and showroom at the Carrollton headquarters. Additional sales offices are to be located in major cities across the United States

At this time, products sold in North America will come from Daikin Group manufacturing bases in Japan and Thailand. However, production in North America is also under consideration.
