HOUSTON - Linc Facility Services LLC (LFS) has purchased Ferguson-Williams LLC, a provider of facility operations and maintenance services to the federal government. LFS said it will leverage Ferguson-Williams' reputation and expertise to better serve its customers in the federal market, as well as expand its overall international facility management footprint. LFS is a business unit of the Linc Group LLC.

Ferguson-Williams was founded in Huntsville, Ala., in 1969 to provide services at nearby Redstone arsenal. The company established itself by providing grounds maintenance and soon expanded its offerings to include facility operations and maintenance with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The company currently provides base operations services, operations and maintenance, logistics support services, and administrative support for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, as well as the Corps of Engineers.

"We are very pleased to welcome Ferguson-Williams to the LFS portfolio," said Phil Rogers, president and CEO of LFS. "With its exceptional government industry expertise and proven ability to deliver superior facility management service to its customers, Ferguson-Williams is an ideal complement to LFS' existing service offering. The combination of our core strengths will benefit our customers and provide exciting new growth opportunities for the company."

The new acquisition will retain its name but be branded as "A Linc Facility Services Company" and will join recent LFS acquisition BMAR as part of the company's government division. Owner Mike Ferguson will assume the responsibilities of BMAR vice president of government operations as well as continue to serve as president of Ferguson-Williams.
