ROCKVILLE, Md. - The Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) was honored for its green initiatives over the last year with a Green Leadership Award. Bisnow on Business, the publisher of a Washington, D.C.-based electronic business newsletter, the U.S. Green Building Council, and George Washington University selected the award winners from over 100 submissions.
MCAA was recognized for launching GreenContractors.us, a website that provides green building information to members; funding two sustainability research studies; and developing the Mechanical Service Contractors Association (MSCA) GreenStar designation for companies that have shown an exceptional commitment to sustainable mechanical service. MCAA and other award recipients were honored at a special event in Rockville, Md.
