Nov. 10, 2005: Mamayek Named SMACNA Contractor Of The Year

PALM DESERT, Calif.- Michael F. Mamayek, executive vice president, Illingworth Corp., an EMCOR Company, Milwaukee, received the Contractor of the Year award at the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association (SMACNA) 62nd annual convention here.

Mamayek has been involved in developing SMACNA's technical manuals and standards, and has also been active on American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) technical and standards committees.

Mamayek will serve this coming year as chair of SMACNA's Indoor Air Quality Guidelines Task Force, as well as a member of the Technical Resources Committee, the HVAC Contractors Council Steering Committee, the National Energy Management Institute/NEMIC National Center for Energy Management and Building Technology, the International Training Institute HVAC Systems Curriculum Task Force, and the ITI Physical Standards Task Force.

A member of SMACNA's board of directors from 1998 to 2002, his service credentials include membership on the HVAC Duct Design Task Force, the HVAC Air Duct Leakage Task Force, the Duct Construction Standards Revision Committee, and the NEMI Underfloor Air Distribution Systems Task Force. He was inducted into SMACNA's College of Fellows in 2003.
