New Source for Online Building Product Content

NORCROSS, GA — The CMD Group has launched First Source Exchange (www.firstsourceexchange.com), a new online building product information source, which it says offers more indexed, searchable, and downloadable content than other online resources.

First Source Exchange provides 70,000 pages of building product manufacturer information, with content being added on an ongoing basis, says the company.

Users can search for product information by product trade name, Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) codes, manufacturer name, or by a key word search. Once users locate a product, they can view product profiles, technical details, and download product drawings and manufacturers’ product specifications.

Access is also provided to manufacturers’ electronic catalogs with content in its original format. Contact information for manufacturers includes local and national phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and mailing addresses. Many product listings also have links to the manufacturers’ websites.
