Nebraska Breaks Ground For New Wind Farm
The Municipal Energy Agency of Nebraska (MEAN) recently broke ground for a 10.5-MW wind farm northwest of Kimball, NE. The seven-turbine wind farm is expected to generate about 2% to 3% of MEAN’s total energy requirements with an annual output of electricity for nearly 4,000 homes.
The Nebraska Power Review Board has authorized MEAN to build up to 20 wind turbines at the Kimball site.
