During this year’s Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Expo in New York City, a memorandum of understanding was signed among North American Technician Excellence (NATE); Partnership for Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration Accreditation (PAHRA); the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI); and the United Association (UA) which will give students advanced status in the UA when they graduate from schools accredited by PAHRA and that use ICE and NATE exams. Having his turn at signing the documents is Rex Boynton, president of NATE. Waiting in the back row are (from left) Steve Allen of UA-Education; Steve Yurek, president of AHRI, Pat Murphy, president of PAHRA, and Mike Arndt, director of training for UA.
