NATE Accredits UPG Courses

NORMAN, Okla. — The Unitary Products Group of York International Inc. submitted 24 field and factory courses for Re-Certification Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to North American Technician Excellence (NATE) at a recent UPG Service Advisors Conference in Wichita, Kan. During the conference, 19 hours of technical training were presented on issues such as large commercial package units, light commercial package units, indoor air quality (IAQ), energy recovery units, and service issues. UPG said that the course CEUs are important to NATE-certified HVAC technicians in order for them to renew their credentials. NATE requires recertification every five years. Technicians can recertify after taking 60 hours of approved CEUs. The course submitted totals some 260 CEU hours offered in many locations throughout the year.
