MSCA's Three New STAR Contractors

The Mechanical Service Contractors of America (MSCA) announced that Arden Engineering Constructors, LLC, Pawtucket, R.I.; Illingworth Corp., Milwaukee; and Sander Mechanical Service, LLC, Branchburg, N.J., recently achieved MSCA STAR status, bringing the total number of STAR contractors nationally to 92. MSCA STAR is a qualification program that recognizes contractors who exceed rigorous operating and training standards set by MSCA.

MSCA STAR qualified contractors represent the best in HVACR service for commercial, institutional, and industrial customers. MSCA STAR companies have demonstrated that they offer customers unsurpassed support, quality workmanship and safe and reliable service. STAR contractors complete a detailed application covering a wide range of criteria, including maintaining a superior safety record, offering outstanding customer service, and remaining focused on continuing education and training for all of their employees.

In addition, at least 25 percent of a contractor’s technicians must be United Association (UA)-STAR certified to ensure they employ the best-trained and qualified workforce.

“MSCA STARs have a proven record of success with their customers and continue to uphold the highest standards in their work and their customer service,” said Barbara Dolim, executive director of MSCA. “Contractors who have attained MSCA STAR status can prove that they surpass the customers’ requirements in customer service, training, and safety.”

The MSCA STAR program is independently verified by the National Inspection, Testing and Certification Corporation (NITC), an ISO 9001 and ANSI-accredited certifying organization. To see a complete list of MSCA STARs, go to www.msca.org.

MSCA is a national trade association for HVACR contractors, providing education, marketing, and labor/management services to ensure its members deliver quality performance, value, and expertise for all building system needs. MSCA contractors perform service, maintenance, replacement, retrofit, and repair work resulting in enhanced reliability, tenant satisfaction, and efficiency. MSCA’s contractor qualifications program, MSCA STAR, recognizes contractors that have met the highest standards of excellence in the industry and employ highly-skilled UA STAR-certified technicians. MSCA has over 1,200 members and is a subsidiary of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America.
