BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. - The Mechanical Service Contractors of America’s annual educational conference will be held Oct. 18-21 in Bonita Springs, Fla., at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point. In one of the popular sessions, instructor Mike Feutz will explore performance upgrades that increase efficiency and reduce energy use and cost for contractors’ customers. Attendees will learn how to calculate savings in dollars and energy usage, which will help sell projects to green-minded customers. Actual payback analysis examples will provide ideas that can be used to sell performance upgrades over the life cycle of equipment. A discussion of utility bill analysis will prepare attendees to analyze customer energy costs in detail and enable them to qualify and quantify maximum savings. Mike Feutz is MCAA’s 2008 Educator of the Year and a faculty member in the HVACR Department at Ferris State.
