Mike and Jennifer Howard celebrate their son Mikey’s sixth birthday and one-year anniversary of a kidney transplant as Morris-Jenkins pledges a half million dollars.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Morris-Jenkins, a residential air conditioning and heating company, is celebrating 50 years of success by supporting Levine Children’s Hospital, pledging $500,000 over the next 10 years.

Through this philanthropic partnership, Morris-Jenkins is reinforcing its long-standing commitment to the Charlotte area. The company has donated and installed HVAC systems for 22 Habitat for Humanity homes and employees have voluntarily contributed over $30,000 to help lower income families pay their utilities.

“This community has blessed us immensely,” said Dewey Jenkins, Morris-Jenkins owner. “What better way to give back than through an organization that helps our kids?”

Morris-Jenkins’ gift to the hospital will support the Child Life program, which is dedicated to restoring a sense of normalcy to the lives of hospitalized children like Mikey Howard. Specifically, the gift will fund the special recognition program designed to recognize special milestones in a patient’s treatment as well as birthdays and other occasions.
