LAS VEGAS - Five mechanical contracting firms from around the country visited the Daikin McQuay ( booth at the AHR Expo, where The NEWS held a first-of-its-kind live contractor product review.

The contractors reviewed the Magnitude™ 700-ton chiller, which features part-load performance as low as 0.31 kW/ton IPLV (Integrated Part Load Value). Using the Energy Analyzer™ program, the estimated energy savings with this chiller offers a payback that could be as short as two years. Its sound pressure ratings are as low as 76 dBa per AHRI 575. Its size makes it appropriate for retrofit and replacement installations.

Details of the contractor panel’s review results will be included in The NEWS’ May 29 Chiller issue.
