The Mechanical Contractors of America chapter of Metropolitan Washington (MCAMW) sponsored a recent Project Manager Competition for the student chapter at Virginia Tech. Nine teams of Virginia Tech juniors presented their best bids on the "Westminster Building Project" to a panel of judges including MCAA members Scott Peck, Lou Spencer, and Paul Stiles.

The judges selected three finalists who presented their bids to MCAMW members and representatives from UA locals 5 and 602. "The Gilbert Co." team, composed of Curtis Daisimer, Matthew Hale, Kevin Radack, Nathan Schneider, and Thomas Sawner took first place in the competition.
