ROCKVILLE, MD — The Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) has announced that the winner of its Foster McCarl Jr. Philanthropy Award this year is MCA of Maryland.

The MCA of Maryland was honored for its innovative program to provide ongoing funding for the Mechanical Contracting Foundation (MCF). It has pledged to donate one cent per hour for every workhour during each contract period. This will enable it to double in 10 years the amount it would previously have given over a 15-year period.

The Philanthropy Award is given to an individual, company, or local association whose fundraising activities, on behalf of the MCF, best reflect the spirit of philanthropic effort as lived and demonstrated by Foster McCarl Jr.
