March 11, 2004: Servidyne Wins Energy Star Award

ATLANTA - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded Servidyne Systems LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Abrams Industries Inc., with the Energy Star Sustained Excellence Award.

Servidyne received Energy Star Partner of the Year Awards in 2001, 2002, and 2003. This year Servidyne is being honored for sustaining smart energy management practices through assisting clients in benchmarking their buildings, achieving Energy Star label recognition, and significantly improving the energy performance of their buildings.

In 2003, Servidyne partnered with Energy Star to become a host of the National Energy Performance Rating System, providing automated Energy Star benchmarking services to the market. Through these programs and its other offerings, Servidyne helps its customers realize significant energy cost savings by making a commitment to continuous improvement of energy performance.

"Servidyne is proud to support the Energy Star program and its goals to reduce energy consumption," said Barry Abramson, senior vice president and director of engineering services for Servidyne. "In 2003 alone, Servidyne assessed over 225 buildings utilizing the Energy Star performance rating. Through Energy Star as well as our other building engineering and maintenance offerings, Servidyne has enabled our customers to significantly reduce operating costs while improving the comfort of building occupants."
