  • Environmental Technologies, Inc. (Largo, FL), has sold its grille, register, and diffuser business unit to Miami Tech, Inc. (Miami, FL).
  • Robur Corp. (Evansville, IN) officially launched its marketing and service plans for 2002 at its Servel Network Convention in Orlando, FL. New sales and service strategies include transitions from the replacement market to new construction, and the introduction of the chiller-heater link.
  • Research Products Corp. (Madison, WI), maker of Aprilaire® electronic thermostats, is offering a dealer imprinting program on all qualifying digital and programmable thermostat orders placed prior to December 31, 2001.   • Dectron Internationale (Montreal, PQ, Canada) has partnered with Ambian Climate Technologies, LLC, for the packaging, installation, and service of Ambian’s gas-fired, high-efficiency unitary absorption hvac products.
  • Watts Heatway (Springfield, MO) has changed its name to Watts Radiant. The company operates as the radiant heating subsidiary of Watts Industries (WTS) .
  • ESAB Group, Inc. (Mississauga, ON, Canada), a manufacturer of welding and cutting products, is adding automation to its filler metal and equipment product portfolio in North America.
  • A.O. Smith Electrical Products Co. (Tipp City, OH) has been awarded a contract to provide 100 custom-designed, multispeed, integral-horsepower motors to GEA Power Cooling Systems, Inc. , to power axial fans for air-cooled condensers at two North American power plants.
  • Weil-McLain’s (Michigan City, IN) “Heating and Helping America” campaign donated $50 to the “September 11th Fund” for every boiler ordered October 15-19, 2001.
  • ESAB Welding & Cutting Products (Florence, SC) has donated equipment, including gas regulators and Purox® “E” cutting outfits, to aid in the relief efforts in New York City as a result of the World Trade Center tragedy.
  • Taylor Made Environmental, Inc. (Richmond, VA), recently supplied a 720,000-Btu air conditioning system for a new, 190-ft “megayacht” being built for a private owner in Egypt. The staged Marine Air Systems chilled-water system includes a 60-ton chiller unit with variable drives and 50 air-handling units with individual computerized cabin controls.
