Last week, The U.S. Justice Department approved the purchase of Honeywell International Inc. (Morris Township, NJ) by General Electric Co. (Fairfield, CT). As part of the approval, the companies had to agree to sell Honeywell's helicopter-engine business unit and will have to take action to encourage competition. European regulators have yet to give their approval, which might come in July.
York International's Engineered Systems Group (York, PA) announces the divestiture of its Barlassina, Italy manufacturing facility to a European subsidiary of Electra Consumer Products Ltd.
