  • Exhausto, Inc. (Roswell, GA), a manufacturer of chimney top-mounted draft equipment and controls, is moving to a new office and warehouse. The company will now be located at 1200 Northmeadow Parkway, Suite 180, Roswell, GA 30076; 800-255-2923; 770-587-4731 (fax).
  • Nortek, Inc. (Providence, RI) announced plans to conduct an offering of approximately $225 million of senior subordinated notes due 2011. The notes are expected to be issued and sold in a private Rule 144A offering to institutional investors. The company intends to use approximately $215 million of the net proceeds of the offering to redeem its outstanding 97¼8% senior subordinated notes due 2004, and use any remaining net proceeds to augment working capital and for other general corporate purposes.

  • A.O. Smith Corporation (Milwaukee, WI) announced the promotion of Donald M. Heinrich as president of its Electrical Products Company (Tipp City, OH). Heinrich replaces John A. Bertrand,>/b> who plans to retire at the end of the year after more than 38 years with the company.
  • Fasco (Eldon, MO) has introduced a new Internet cross-reference option for distributors to find stock replacements for Fasco oem models or competitive stock models. To use the cross-reference option, the user must first go to www.fasco.com (website). A part number must then be entered along with selection of any one of the three origin destinations: Fasco oem Nameplate Model, Competitive Stock Model, or Fasco Stock Model. A click on the search button activates a database search.
  • Modine Manufacturing Company (Racine, WI) announced that it expects improvements after the first two quarters of fiscal 2002. Donald R. Johnson, president and ceo of Modine, anticipates the company’s financial performance to improve over the third and fourth quarters due to cost reduction efforts, its Thermacore acquisition, and its three new light vehicle programs.
  • Emerson Motors (St. Louis, MO) has expanded its website to include information on its complete line of hvac replacement motors. The company has created a new interactive tool that helps wholesalers and contractors find the right air conditioning replacement motors. The new content can be found at www.emerson motors.com>under the products section.
