  • Johnson Controls Inc.(Chicago, IL) has named Hayes Mechanical Inc. as a member of its Authorized Building Controls Specialist (ABCS) distribution channel. As an ABCS channel partner, Hayes Mechanical will work in concert with the Johnson Controls Illinois-area office to provide building automation system installations to customers throughout northeastern Illinois.
  • Unico, Inc. (St. Louis, MO), is offering contractors and distributors an incentive on purchases made from Aug. 1 through Oct. 31, 2001. Contractors purchasing a Unico System hot water heating package will receive a leather jacket with every qualifying order.   • Lau Industries, Inc. (Englewood, OH), has achieved ISO 9002 compliance and has been registered by Quality Certification Bureau Inc., an accredited, third-party registrar based in Alberta, Canada.
  • Baldor Electric Co. (Fort Smith, AR) will begin labeling its Super-E® premium-efficiency motors with a new “EnergyGuide” label. The label will inform electric motor buyers of the energy savings and dollar savings they can achieve from installing the company’s Super-E motor.
  • On Sept. 1, GeneralAire (Novi, MI) will begin its C.O.A.C.H. 2001 (Comfortable, Odor-free, Air Cleaned and Humidity Controlled) Sales Program. The football-themed program awards Touchdown Points to dealers who make a GeneralAire purchase through Feb. 28, 2002. The points can then be cashed in for prizes.   • Telaire (Santa Barbara, CA) has announced a 30% to 55% list price reduction on all of its CO2-related controls.
