Manufacturers for the Week: August 20, 2001

  • York International Corp. (York, PA) has announced the issuance of a $200 million debt offering for 6.625% coupon rate senior notes, due August 15, 2006. The proceeds of the bond issue will be used to reduce short-term commercial paper borrowings.
  • Lennox International (Dallas, TX) has appointed Linda Goodspeed as chief technology officer. Goodspeed replaces Ed French, who retired on July 1.

  • Johns Manville Corp. (Denver, CO) has announced the appointment of Steven B. Hochhauser as vice president of the Engineered Products Group.

  • Ajax Boiler Inc. (Santa Ana, CA) has appointed Jane Terry as president and ceo. Terry has been with the company for 10 years in various other positions.
  • Quest Technologies (Oconomowoc, WI) has announced the relocation of its authorized European Quest & Metrosonics Repair and Calibration Service Center to Almere, the Netherlands. The center will provide instrument service and calibration to European dealers and customers.
  • Echelon Corp. (Sunnyvale, CA) will present a free “Open Systems 2001” seminar. The event will take place in several cities across the U.S. and will give participants the opportunity to see several LonWorks devices and products. For more information, go to www.echelon.com/tour2001 (website).
  • The commercial sales office for The Trane Company
  • (Norfolk, VA) was awarded the Energy Star® Label for Buildings. The award was presented by the United States Environmental Agency.
