  • Honeywell Consumer Products (South-borough, MA) announced the voluntary recall of approximately 450,000 HZ-514 moveable baseboard heaters.   • Scott Lange, president of Glasfloss Industries, Inc. (Lancaster, OH), has announced plans for a new manufacturing plant in the Southeastern United States. The company is researching possible locations in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.
  • The Dwyer Group (Waco, TX) president and ceo, Dina Dwyer-Owens, was presented with the Bonny LeVine Award from the International Franchise Association (IFA). The award is bestowed upon a female franchisor or franchisee who has contributed to the growth of her business and community, and has promoted the professional advancement of women.
  • ICOR International (Indianapolis, IN) presented its “Street Fighter” award to Ron McLaughlin of McLaughlin and Associates (Seminole, FL). The award is given to the ICOR sales agency that has focused the most time on educating end users in the hvacr industry on the proper selection and use of alternative refrigerants.
  • Field Controls (Kinston, NC) is celebrating its 75th anniversary. The company was founded by Ted Field in 1927 in Evanston, IL.
  • Bettcher Manufacturing, LLC (Cleveland, OH), recently expanded its capabilities to include four-slide precision metal stamping at its facility in Reynosa, Mexico.
  • Ice Cap Inc. (Long Island City, NY) has hired Glen Haun as vice president of sales and marketing. John Beltrami has been named business unit manager for the Climaster Service Division.
