Miller Electric Mfg. Co. (Appleton, WI) announced that it has become the first U.S. welding equipment manufacturer — and one of the first few U.S. manufacturers of any product — to comply with the ISO 9001:2000 standard.

PowerCold Corp. (LaVernia, TX) has received an order for evaporative cooling units with nearly 1,000 tons of capacity for rooftop installations in Long Island, NY. The order is part of roughly $400,000 in work in process at the company’s plant in LaVernia.
