The S-Series ice machine has AlphaSan® molded into select plastic components to reduce biofilm. The Guardian® slime inhibitor accessory now has been incorporated as a standard item on these units. According to the manufacturer, cleaning is simplified with features such as rounded corners, a reduction in the number of surfaces that need to be cleaned, and a water distribution tube that is easy to remove. The company says the ice machines have an air-assist ice removal process that cuts the time needed for harvesting ice in half. To reduce noise, the compressor is mounted on its own platform and foam is injected into the interior. A hinged front door provides access to the forward-facing evaporator. The water tray and distribution tube can be removed without tools.
