Linc Acquires North Carolina Firm

The Linc Group LLC (TLG) has acquired the Charlotte, N.C., operations of Padgett Services, a commercial HVAC company that also specializes in cabling and electrical retrofits. With the addition of Padgett Services – Charlotte, Linc has two company-owned locations in North Carolina. TLG is the parent company of Linc Network LLC, franchisor of the Linc System.

Padgett has been providing design build construction, facilities management, energy management, and consulting services to the southeast for more than 20 years. TLG’s acquisition of the Charlotte branch extends its offerings to include cabling and low-voltage wire services, and brings the number of Linc company-owned stores to 22.

Padgett Services – Charlotte will be rebranded as Linc Mechanical LLC – Charlotte and led by Linc’s Vice President of North Carolina, Pat Garner.

“Padgett’s decision to sell the Charlotte branch to Linc reflects their determination to act in the best interests of their customers and employees,” said Garner. “With Linc’s enhanced technological, operational, and financial resources, the Charlotte business will have access to a stronger service organization that will be well positioned to provide customers with superior service and solid performance for years to come.”

“With a similar business model, offerings, and customers, Padgett is an excellent addition to the Linc Service Network,” said Scott Giacobbe, president and CEO of Linc Network. “Enhancing operations in North Carolina has been a strategic goal for Linc, and Padgett’s solid foothold in the area will significantly expand our customer base and opportunities for growth.”

Added Giacobbe, “Padgett’s expertise in cabling and electrical service and retrofit will also provide the perfect foundation for Linc Lighting & Electrical to establish operations in the region and provide even more added benefits to customers.”
