Lennox to add new facility

DALLAS, TX — Lennox International Inc. has announced that it will open a new production facility to keep pace with growth in the North American residential heating and cooling market, and increase its manufacturing flexibility and capacity.

The new plant will be a 300,000-sq-ft facility in Orangeburg, SC. It is scheduled for completion by the end of the year. Residential hvac products will be manufactured at the site to meet increasing demand.

The facility will employ about 150 people initially and will produce gas furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps.

“This is a very exciting development for Lennox,” said John Norris, chairman and ceo of the manufacturer.

Norris said the facility will be established based on “Lean Enterprise” principles, focused on eliminating waste through continuous improvement.
