Field-installed ultraviolet (UVC) germicidal lamps can be added to L Series® packaged rooftop units. According to the manufacturer, installing the UVC germicidal lamps will help the customer by minimizing mold growth, improving airflow, maintaining coil efficiency, and minimizing future expenses by saving on labor and chemical costs when cleaning coils. The lamp kits are available for 3- to 30-ton rooftop units. The available voltages are 230/3/60, 460/3/60, and 575/3/60.
