The MERV 15 two-inch filters are designed for rooftop units. They improve IAQ by removing a minimum of 85 percent of particles sized 0.3-1 micron, including most types of bacteria, paint pigments, and smoke. According to the manufacturer, the filters can be used by businesses seeking the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System™ and may help qualify for one LEED point under “EQ5: Indoor Chemical and Pollutant Source Control.” The filters are available as a field-installed accessory for L Series® and S-Class™ rooftop units. They conform to UL900 Class 2 approval for the United States and Canada.
