Lennox, IAQA Sponsor Training

DALLAS, TX — Lennox Industries has entered into a sponsorship of the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA), a nonprofit organization. Lennox originally announced its corporate membership with IAQA in September 2001. This new sponsorship will include education and member benefits for Lennox dealers and associates. Under the agreement, Lennox will help educate its dealer network on the growing concern over indoor air quality (IAQ).

“A big component of the Lennox-IAQA sponsorship is education for Lennox’s dealer network,” said Tom Overs, product marketing manager of Lennox Industries. “IAQA is known for their expertise in training, most notably through the association’s Certified Indoor Environmentalists (CIE) and Certified Mold Remediator (CMR) programs. Now Lennox will tap into that expertise and work with IAQA to tailor custom training programs for its dealer network and associates.”

The association will discount membership fees to Lennox dealers to encourage their participation in IAQA. Member benefits include a quarterly newsletter, a monthly newspaper, training and certification programs, and research and guideline setting initiatives.

The Lennox-IAQA sponsorship includes the appointment of Overs to the IAQA board of directors in a non-voting capacity. Mark Jackson, senior engineer for Lennox, will serve on the research committee of IAQA to provide input and support of projects to improve IAQ products.
