Legionella Satellite Courses Scheduled

FALLBROOK, Calif. — HC Information Resources Inc. has introduced new satellite seminars on Legionella and other waterborne pathogens. The courses come in audio seminars or Web seminars, and are 60 to 90 minutes in length, including allotted time for questions and answers.

Participants in the audio seminar dial a toll-free telephone number to access the live presentation and follow along with a manual, while the Web seminars involve a slide presentation on the Internet that accompanies a live presentation by the instructor.

Two of the general seminars are “Waterborne Pathogens: Illness, Prevalence, and Risk Reduction Strategies,” and “Legionnaires’ Disease: Update on Diagnosis, Treatment, Microbiology, Environmental Monitoring, Guidelines, and Disinfection.”

Other courses have been designed specifically for the HVAC, plumbing, and water treatment industries. They include “Reducing the Risk of Legionella in Cooling Towers” and “Minimizing Conditions and Other Bacteria in Domestic Water Systems.”

Three other courses are available as part of the satellite series. For more information or to schedule a course, call 800-801-8050 or visit www.hcinfo.com.
