The company announced that the full range of its Wattsaver® motors, from 1 through 125 hp, now meet or exceed energy-consumption levels required by the Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE), a nonprofit organization that promotes the use of energy-efficient products in residential, commercial, and industrial applications. The motors also feature the IRIS™ insulation system that provides extra protection against voltage strikes induced by variable-speed drives, says the manufacturer. The system includes specially formed phase insulation, cushioned and sleeved connections, deep-penetrating varnish, and a spike-resistant magnet wire.
