Currently, an interactive selection process is available for the Captive Fasteners product category. Users are taken through a step-by-step process when choosing a captive fastener, allowing them to select options that best meet their own application requirements.

For Captive Fasteners, selection criteria include outer panel thickness, thread size, finish, preferred knob style, installation style, recess style, and screw projection. The program calculates the available part numbers after each selection until the best product solution is identified.

User can then view product literature, download the CAD file, request a sample, and check pricing and availability. Registered users may place orders online.

“As more and more engineers around the world use the Internet as a resource in their design efforts, the Online Product Selection Guide will enable them to find the best product for their application and get all the information they need to design it in,” said Jim Grady, content manager. “They can even order a sample for testing while online.”
