Larson Honors Suppliers, Sales

Larson honored its top suppliers with the 2009 Partners in Excellence and Quality award. PEWAUKEE, Wis. - The Gustave A. Larson Co. recently honored its top suppliers and supplier salespeople at two award dinners.

Larson honored the following companies with its 2009 Partners in Excellence and Quality (PEAQ) award: Advanced Distributor Products, J.B. Industries, Armacell LLC, DuPont Fluoroproducts, and Heatcraft Refrigeration Products. These winners were chosen through an evaluation of data collected throughout the year considering various measurements of the quality of partnering in business.

Factors considered in the evaluation process included product quality, profitability, marketing, sales support, electronic commerce capabilities, on-time deliveries, basic credit terms, policies, and procedures.

Sue Sinclair, senior vice president and chief inventory management officer, administers Larson’s PEAQ program. She said, “Our PEAQ program continues to strengthen our partnerships with our suppliers, helping us to provide better service to our customers.”

Larson also honored the top supplier salespeople for 2009 in each of its four regions. Dan Thompson, representing Lennox Hearth Products, was named the Outstanding Sales Person in the Great Plains Region. David Lindahl, representing Heatcraft Refrigeration Products, won for the Great Lakes Region. David Barnson, representing G&S Sales, was honored for the Mountain Region. Keith Rinderknecht, representing RAC Sales, earned the top honor in the North Central Region. The criteria used to evaluate the sales personnel include quality of sales call, product knowledge, communication skills, and accountability.
