ST. LOUIS - Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson, has acquired Vilter Manufacturing LLC, a privately held compressor manufacturer based in Cudahy, Wis. Vilter compressors are used in a wide range of industrial refrigeration systems. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Vilter will become a part of Emerson Climate Technologies’ Refrigeration Division, which provides commercial refrigeration products and solutions. Vilter produces a complete line of compressors for industrial refrigeration and gas compression applications including reciprocating and single screw compressors. Their products are sold globally through 72 United States and 31 international distribution locations.
