June 13, 2003: Sprint And @Road Offer Nationwide Mobile Resource Services

OVERLAND PARK, Kan., and FREMONT, Calif. — Sprint and @Road have announced an agreement that provides nationwide availability of @Road mobile resource management services via the enhanced Sprint Nationwide PCS Network. According to the companies, the combined offering enables mobile workers from coast-to-coast to communicate job, location, and time-relevant information from the field to the office at data speeds averaging 50 to 70 Kbps, with peak speeds of 144 Kbps.

Under terms of the agreement, @Road will offer enterprise customers a bundled solution that is comprised of @Road's mobile resource management services and @Road's device with an embedded CDMA module that has been certified for use on the enhanced Sprint Nationwide PCS Network.

"Sprint is dedicated to providing wireless solutions designed specifically to meet the needs of the mobile workforce," said Phil Bowman, vice president of business marketing for the PCS Division of Sprint. "Our relationship with @Road provides Sprint business customers with a set of powerful mobile resource management service tools designed to improve mobile workforce productivity, increase the efficiency of field operations, and manage mobile assets."

"We are excited that Sprint has certified the @Road 3G 1xRTT data device, and selected @Road as a complete end-to-end mobile resource management service provider on its 3G network," said Krish Panu, president and CEO of @Road. "We look forward to working with Sprint to extend access to mission-critical, location-based information to its broad and diverse customer base."
