June 1, 2010: SMACNA's HVAC Applications Manual Is Available for Public Review

CHANTILLY, Va. - The Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA) has announced that the proposed final draft of SMACNA manual HVAC Systems Applications, second edition, is available for public review. The manual can be downloaded online in the Technical Papers/Guidelines section of the SMACNA website at www.smacna.org/technical/index.cfm?fuseaction=papers. The deadline for comments is June 10.

SMACNA said the second edition of HVAC Systems Applications focuses on areas that were in need of updating, primarily due to the advancement of technology, since the first edition was published. In addition, the science and methodology of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning has changed, with an increased emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainability.

Comments and suggestions can be sent via U.S. mail to Peyton Collie, Attention: HVAC Systems Applications Review, SMACNA, 4201 Lafayette Center Drive, Chantilly, VA 20151-1219. You may also e-mail comments to techmanualsreview@smacna.org.
