July 15, 2010: Commercial Asset Preservation LLC Formed to Maintain Abandoned, Vacant Properties

SALT LAKE CITY - Commercial Asset Preservation LLC (CAP) has been formed to serve as a national provider of general maintenance, preservation, and inspection services for abandoned and nearly vacant commercial and industrial properties. Services include HVAC maintenance, plumbing, and electrical.

Historically, only a small percentage of the commercial properties in the United States have defaulted, or become vacant or abandoned. As a result, until now there has not been a need for a national provider of maintenance services for abandoned and vacant commercial real estate, said CAP. However, the downturn in the economy has caused a sharp decline in commercial occupancy rates. Utilizing proprietary technology and a field force composed of commercial property maintenance and construction experts, CAP said it fulfills the resulting unprecedented need for a national provider of general maintenance and preservation of abandoned and vacant commercial property.

“CAP meets this growing need through securing unprotected buildings, while ensuring that vacant and abandoned properties retain value and do not further deteriorate, become vandalized, or receive citations for their physical condition,” stated Marc Insul , president and chief operating officer. CAP’s services include: boarding/securing, debris/hazard removal, cleaning/janitorial, extermination, winterization, HVAC maintenance, plumbing, electrical, roof maintenance, grounds keeping, parking lot maintenance, graffiti removal, environmental hazard testing/remediation, property inspections/evaluations, and other specialty services.

“CAP offers an efficient means of maintaining and protecting distressed commercial properties in a cost-effective manner,” said Insul.
